Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 23, 2026

RaasiMitra calculates your Raasi (Moon sign) and Nakshatra (birth star), shows daily predictions, and checks horoscope compatibility between two people. It has no account system and no server — everything you enter is stored only in a local database on your own device. The Home screen shows a small banner ad to support the app; that's the only thing in RaasiMitra that uses the internet.

What information the app uses

To calculate a Raasi and Nakshatra, or to check compatibility between two people, RaasiMitra uses:

You enter this directly into the app — either for your own saved profile, or freshly for the two people being compared in "Compare Two Profiles" and "Horoscope Match."

Where this information is stored

Entirely on your device, in a local app database. RaasiMitra does not have a backend server of any kind, and has no way to transmit your name, birth details, or saved profiles anywhere — the app's INTERNET permission exists solely to show the banner ad described below, and is never used to send your birth chart data anywhere. We — the developer — never receive, see, or have access to anything you enter into the app.

The place-of-birth lookup (city name → coordinates and timezone) runs from a lookup table bundled inside the app itself, built from public GeoNames.org data. It does not use your device's GPS or location services, and does not query any online mapping or geocoding service.

When information is shared

Only when you choose to. Tapping Share Result on a match screen opens Android's standard share sheet, and you pick where it goes (WhatsApp, email, SMS, or anything else installed on your phone) — RaasiMitra itself never sends this automatically or to us.

Advertising

The Home screen — and only the Home screen — shows a small banner ad, served by Google AdMob. This is the one feature in RaasiMitra that uses the internet; every calculation, prediction and match result is still computed entirely on your device, from the information described above, none of which is ever sent to AdMob or anyone else.

To show an ad, AdMob may collect technical identifiers such as your advertising ID, device type, and approximate location (derived from IP address, not GPS) — never your name, birth date, birth place, or anything else you enter into the app. Where required, RaasiMitra asks for your consent to this before any ad is requested, using Google's User Messaging Platform. You can review how Google handles this data in Google's Ads Privacy & Terms.

Outside of that one banner, RaasiMitra includes no analytics and no crash-reporting SDKs, and shares nothing else with any third party.

Deleting your information

You can edit or clear your saved profile from within the app at any time. Uninstalling RaasiMitra removes its local database — and everything in it — immediately, since no copy exists anywhere else.

Children's privacy

RaasiMitra is a general-audience horoscope and compatibility app, not directed at children, and is not designed to knowingly collect information from children.
